    Bluetooth Wireless Technology

     Introduction

     

    Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices, and building personal area networks (PANs). Invented by telecom vendor Ericsson in 1994, it was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS-232 data cables. The technology is able to link multiple devices, overcome the problem of synchronous. Bluetooth is managed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), which has more than 30,000 member companies in the areas of telecommunication, computing, networking, and consumer electronics.
     
    The physical layer standard was improved since 2004, which solved the interference problems of the public use of ISM band. Bluetooth technology continuously made progress in these years, which increase the transmission speed and simplify the pairing scheme, there is also a potential improvement on IoT application in the newest updates, not only optimized the power dispassion, it extends the transmission distance and speed a lot to meet the demand of high data transmission rate of modern data communication.

     Application

     

    Bluetooth technology contains Basic Rate/Enhance Data Rate (BR/EDR) and Low Energy (LE), 3 different technical models. The BR/EDR is able to establish device communication one by one using 1-to-1 topology. The LE model can works under 1-to-1 and 1-to-many different topologies, caused lots of products could be applied by Bluetooth technology:
